Cat's eye is bright and complex planetary nebula. It is 3262 light years away from Earth. It is also called as NGC 6543. It is situated in the northern part of Draco constellation. Actually, it is a dying star which has thrown off the shell of glowing gases. It is just amazing to be studied due to its complex structure. It was discovered by great astronomer William Herschel on 15 February 1786. Even today it is a fantastic nebula to research.
