Orion Nebula is situated in the south of Orion's belt in constellation Orion. It is a massive cloud of gas and dust. It is 1,344 light years away from Earth. It is one of the brightest nebula, that's why it can be seen with naked eyes. It is also known as Messier 42 i.e.M42 or NGC 1976. Actually, It is a part of much larger nebula called Orion molecular cloud complex. Its first image was captured in 1880 by American astronomer William Huggins. In winter, you can also see it.
