The Space Butterfly

This space butterfly is a group of newly formed baby stars. This is officially known as W40 and is a nebula. This image is an infrared image of the butterfly nebula. Its two wings are giant bubbles of hot interstellar gas blowing from the massive stars of the region. It is about 1400 light years away from our sun. This is one of the most beautiful nebulae.
